24 February 2012. Dead on arrival in Dublin — everyone… but, when in Ireland, must do as the Irish… Pubs, Cards, Loaded Questions, More Pubs, More Cards, Asleep   5 minutes into a movie on the boys’ couch until 9am next morning — longest, best sleep in a week.

An Englishmen thinks seated; a Frenchmen standing; an American pacing, an Irishman, afterwards. ~ Austin O’Malley

19 February 2012. Should have known from day one… literally. Got in, checked in, checked out (nap), met Lu for “Sunday roast” (hold the roast), hopped from street market to London Bridge to London Eye to Big Ben to her neighborhood bar in Chelsea. Pause for a breath. Enter her buddy and a motor vehicle, and it’s bouncing from one end of London to the next for wardrobe changes and search for perfect Sunday night thing to do. A couple missed opportunities, but the trip is young… So far so good, London.

“You have to pace yourself”

18 February 2012. I believe Blye and Pippa (known in NYC as Brad and Mona) have found their London dinner spot. Bye bye New York.

15 December 2011. It’s five days since returning from Vegas and one day before heading to Vermont, still nothing about this luggage situation has changed. I’m so lazy (no one will ever love me for my housekeeping skills). Time to eat this frog. At least I get to model my slim-fit ski pants that I’m so in love with, I’m delusionally hoping there are non-ski occasions to wear them…and if high-heels can be somehow incorporated, even better.

One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.  ~Oscar Wilde

1 September 2011: Guess which day “Labor Day Last Hoorah” boat party in Chicago is planned for…?  Foiled.
Time to make some spiked lemonade and pack a party dress.

I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade… And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party. ~Ron White, Comedian

This has been on my REAL bucket list forever. I’m finally doing it:

“People will often say that their whole lives flashed before their eyes after they experienced a traumatic event. Perhaps it’s a bit morbid, but we think that sounds pretty incredible.
When Taylor McKnight started taking a photo a day on Jan 1, 2004, he never imagined the project would not only serve as a way to remember a year, but also help him understand what was important to him in his life.  Whether it was his relationships, his career, or his fashion sense, recording a photo a day for a whole year left him with a rich visual history of his life.
Imagine being able to look back at any day of your year and recall what you did, who you met, what you learned… (Often we find it hard to remember what we did just yesterday or even last night, let alone a whole year ago!)
Your year-long photo album will be an amazing way to document your travels and accomplishments, your haircuts and relationships. Time moves surprisingly fast.”
