5 April 2012. To go or not to go, that is the question. Long day, week, month, year, but I know it will be worth it and it is. Tons of laughs listening to a trio of friends that go way back talk about the times they’ve had, including some good-spirited throwing of one another under the bus weaved in throughout. And of course dinner at Buddakan never disappoints… just takes me back to such a different time and NYC for me, as do all “year one” places. Shake it off.

4 March 2012. Long time since a Sunday Funday like this one. West Village two step (Wilfie & Nell) with Betts then Diablo Royale with Jamesy and Jerryworld.

1 March 2012. James time. Major catch up dinner at the Dutch — I realize how much I missed New York. But, also digging the London cajones I smuggled back with me. Good, overdue, combo.

16 February 2012. Oh what a day. A campaign launch with my copilot on another coast and my “on-air” debut playing fashion correspondent with no clue how exactly to do that. The light at the end of the runway is a really good Tommy Hilfiger show, basset hounds and babies included, a kick ass Cobra Starship performance and “don’t feed the models” cocktails with upcoming trip mates and co.

9 February 2012. Drinks with my, now long-distance, work husband, BUT— Haven’t missed a beat, Still keeping it real and Divorce is not on the table. Hate the long 5-floor distance, but love all the happy updates. Then off to opposite sides of the island to familiar faces and new faces — love.

11 December 2011. It’s Sunday in New York, that can only mean one thing – Brunch. Today, we’re brunching with the “extended family” of friends, which means more fun, more laughs and more reasons to love… Plus in bed at a reasonable hour for a change including playtime with America’s favorite dog.

10 December 2011. Leaving Las Vegas was among the best parts of the Las Vegas trip. My travel wife and I are on our own again and have a great time playing “Monday morning quarterback” about our trip and going out in Vegas style. Such a great time in fact, that upon arrival to JFK, we plop ourselves down at the airport Chili’s for more chatter over food and margaritas (served in fishbowls) b/c clearly the 6 hour journey back to the east coast did not suffice…
I’m so happy to be back home, especially reading words that mean more to me than any others I’ve read/heard all year.

3 December 2011. A day filled with anticipation. I run around NYC in party-primping mode, while my partner-in-partying tonight makes way back from West Coast and Arianna makes her way downtown for some pre-party dress-swapping, champers, vino & cheese at my place. Last-minute disappointing news flattens excitement level, but I roll and it’s a good time and different experience with new sweet friends.

10 November 2011. A very typical good day - usual mix of productiveness & unproductiveness.
Starting with: busy, but cool day at work then off to meet friends for drinks.
From there it’s all: gossiping, people-watching, updating, chair-dancing, laughing, and posing for pics, plus breaks for text messaging with all of the other people out doing the same.
Finally it’s: “check please!” and cab calculus (to determinine who makes sense to share a cabs with based on directions we’re all headed in.)
Got me thinking about something mentioned earlier in the week and whether I should be thinking about that instead of auto-dismissing. I decided to sleep on it.

8 November 2011. It’s official. Promotion day. It’s been in the works for so long, I expected it to feel pretty anti-climactic. However, the lovely notes from expected & unexpected colleagues, friends, and colleagues that have become friends make it not so. Instead, I feel like it’s “my day.”
Post-work, Arianna & Alec (who after dating for 3 years appear as if they met yesterday) and James & I sit around a fountain in MoMA’s beautiful courtyard sipping our cocktails, chatting about everything & nothing, and laughing. Today was a good day.”

26 October 2011. Viewing party for Amex’s Coldplay UNSTAGED Livestream in Times Square. All work from 3-6 and off-duty fun bonding time with colleagues thereafter. Work is getting better and better, can’t believe how me I get to be — the best.

17 October 2011. Betts is trying to get me to go to this with her. The entertainment value and stories I will tell over and over and over again make this very tempting, but just can’t stomach the idea that complete strangers would think I’m serious about this. #obsessed.

14 October 2011. A great day. Starting with running into one of my (few) friendly neighbors in process of moving two floors up (bummer) & getting a tour of the new digs and more importantly terrace space (jealous). Caught a glimpse of vinyl collection on my way out and couldn’t resist a pic (love “old” things).
Took a vaca day to do nothing whatsoever-ish (my fave). The rundown:
- Morning sleeping in (ish) = mission impossible for me
- Daytime in midtown = fighting crowds to scratch major shopping itch & unexpectedly unearthing a sicko backless dress along the way (among other things).
- Nighttime in LES & MPD = ‘nuff said…Fun, Fun, Fun.
